Solicitations

Ava Community Energy is a local public agency with a staff of about 70 people working from our Oakland headquarters. We regularly rely on business partners to execute specific, specialized work tasks. As a public agency, when we need the services of a vendor we issue a competitive solicitation. Solicitations are distributed by email. You can sign up for our solicitations list here. For more information about solicitations at Ava, please visit AvaEnergy.org/solicitations.

Supplier Diversity

When Ava was preparing to launch our service in 2018, we developed and released our unique Local Development Business Plan (PDF), to develop a comprehensive framework for accelerating the development of clean energy assets within Alameda County. That document stresses the importance of supplier diversity, particularly from vendors located in our service area. Now that we are fully operational, Ava issues an annual Supplier Diversity Report & Plan to the California Public Utilities Commission.
